I figured out a new way to process my comet data from Thursday Aug 18.
APP = AstroPixelProcessor
PI: PixInsight
The sequence is as follows:
- Register the frames to align the stars (APP)
- Extract the stars from the frames using StarExterminator (PI)
- Stack the star frames (APP)
- Comet align the comet frames using CometAlignment (PI)
- Stack the comet frames (APP)
- Post-process the star stack (PI)
- Post-process the comet stack (PI)
- Combine the stars and comet using PixelMath (PI)
