About this event
This is an early morning event. Disappearance of Jupiter occurs ~ 4:21am EDT and reappearance ~ 5:25 am EDT. However, for the moon Europa, the first moon to disappear and reappear, the event begins and ends about 5 minutes earlier. You can observe the Jupiter occultation with binoculars, but to enjoy the occultation of Jupiter's moons, a small telescope is best.
