This occultation begins in the afternoon when the 2 day old Moon and Venus are due South high in the sky. Disappearance occurs at ~ 3:50 pm EDT and reappearance at ~ 5:08 pm EDT. The Moon is ~ 38 degrees from the Sun during the occultation, so be careful.
