IT'S ON! Star Party at the Norristown Farm Park

Registration in advance is required.    Please wear a mask, whether or not you are vaccinated. 

DVAA members will set up telescopes for visitor's viewing, and Jupiter and Saturn will be the highlights.   Attendees are also welcome to bring their own binoculars or telescopes.   We will also point out constellations and other interesting celestial objects.   A 0.3 mile walk will be needed to get to viewing location. Special accommodations can be made for those who need it the day of the event.

Rain/cloud date is Saturday, Sept. 12.   Check for event updates at www.dvaa.org.  If you provided your email or mobile phone number at registration you will receive any last minute updates on your computer or phone.    

We will be meeting at the pavilion. You will park in parking lot #3.
Directions to the pavilions: Enter the park off of Germantown Pike (turning onto Barley Sheaf, which is a small development).Once you enter the park follow the driveway through three stop signs. At the third stop sign you will turn left (this is the only direction you can go). Continue passed a parking lot on your right and then turn into the parking lot on the left (lot #3). This is the last lot you can access. If you try to continue straight there is a bridge with a barricade. Once in the parking lot you will see the pavilions.

Directions: When coming to Norristown Farm Park enter the park off Germantown Pike/ Barley Sheaf Road. Continue down the road passing through three stop signs. Parking lot #3 is the last parking lot on the left prior to the barricaded bridge. If that lot is full, overflow parking is available in lot #2 (on the right prior to #3). From lot #2 walk down the road to meet at the program location. If you have location questions contact Norristown Farm Park at rblacketter@montcopa.org.
