Other Activities

  • The Amateur Telescope Makers meet monthly at the home of a member. You may join at any time, and work at your own pace, or just come to watch, learn and socialize. Expert help and advice are available for all aspects of telescope making, from mirror grinding to constructing a mount.
  • The Messier Club is for observers, and meets every other month for informal talk about observations, showing of slides, and observing (weather permitting).
  • Basic Astronomy and Observing Techniques Classes are held once or twice a year, and are open to members only.
